About Sensible Romance

If you are like me and are always looking for clean romance novels, then this blog is for you!  I post reviews of all the books I read and rate them for content and language.  My passion is the historical and regency romance, and I am a devoted fan of everything Jane Austen, but I also read urban and paranormal romance novels.  I find most of these books at my local library. Some are sent to me by Publishers in exchange for my honest review. Feel free to comment and I hope you enjoy it!

  1. This is great! I’m very new to the blog-o-sphere and have been trying to meet like-minded romance novel lovers. Like you, I LOVE romance novels (to find out more, please read my recent blog on 5 reasons why – this is not a smarmy advertisement but an honest invitation because I think you’ll understand where I’m coming from)! Like you, I LOVE Jane Austen. My favorite book in the entire world is Pride and Prejudice (which seems to be yours too) and I read it once every year along with a follow up on the 1995 Jennifer Ehle-Collin Firth BBC version of the book. I’m currently doing a revisit on the book now!
I’m also an aspiring romance novelist and, in order to bring regularity to my writing, I have started my blog on writing romance and writing in general. I’m currently posting one of my novels on my blog, one chapter a week. I would really, really like your review because I want to be sure I’m doing this right. Like I said, this place is like a prairie in migration season and it’s just so hard to find fellow species… Please don’t take it as shameless advertising…

    • Hi!! Thank you so much for your comment and for visiting. May I ask how you found my blog? I am wondering how to make it more visible, and would love to know how it cought your attention. I do love P&P and have the A&E version on DVD as well. I am obsessed with Jane Austen, and have read Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, P&P, and Emma several times and I own many of the BBC/Film versions of the books. Jane is the one that brought the reader out of me 🙂 I would love to visit your blog and would be my pleasure to read your book. Again, thank you so much for visiting, and let’s keep in touch!!

  2. I believe it was surfing through the Fiction tags list sometime early yesterday morning that led me to your site. Like I said, I’m looking for people with similar taste. And I hear you when you say obsessed with Jane Austen.
As to the betterment of your site, how about branching out to other authors and also placing links with sites like eHarlequin, etc.? Couldn’t hurt to have people visit through there. You’re doing book reviews, maybe you can drop in blogs there and link it back…
You can visit my website http://www.phenomenaldemonstrative.wordpress.com to read my blogs. I just uploaded a new chapter yesterday, as promised for every Friday. I’ll see you there! 🙂
